New Heathens

Big Thursday (Moderate Friday)

Friends, I'd like to plug a couple gigs I've got coming up this Thursday, May 12.

First, at 6 p.m. John Holl and I will sign copies of our book Indiana Breweries at the Traffic Bar at 986 2nd Ave between 52nd and 53rd Streets in NYC .

Please friends, come support a couple of beer swillers fledgling authors.

Then at 8 p.m. I'll be leading the troops through Stones Karaoke at Brooklyn Bowl in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. BrookBowl is an Actual Real Music Venue, quite unlike the Bars I have played up until this point. With Bars, the gigs are set up via email or verbal agreement, then bands show up and play if they're lucky they get free beer. But this is an Actual Real Music Venue that features on its List of Accoutrements a light show, a backstage, and, seriously,  a masseuse. (Do I desire all the trappings of  refracted fame? You bet.)

The guy who booked us sent me an email that read, "if this does well we can make it a regular thing if there are 50 people there - well, then that'll be the first and last time (-;"

Please friends, I really need a massage. So come out and sing a Rolling Stones song with me on Thursday. I'm only asking for a thousand-percent surge in my normal gig attendance.

RSVP on the Facebook invite here
If you're still rolling hard on Thursday night, drop by the Satellite Lounge for a nitecap and listen as Mike Storey and I do our weekly thang'. (We have no Facebooky invite).
Then, if you still need more, uh, me! Come to Banjo Jim's at 6 p.m. on Friday, May 13th for a mid-month version of my acoustic, happy hour gig there.
